Happy 65th birthday today to arguably/definitely the finest bass player the UK has produced. Serving his apprenticeship with Graham Bond, John Mayall and Manfred Mann it wasn't until 1966 and the formation of the awesome Cream that his profile was raised worldwide. Don't think he'll be getting a card from Ginger Baker though......
